If you are planning a one day holiday trip, then Delhi- Agra- Mathura Trip is one of the best road trips you can enjoy with your friends, family and loved ones. This article covers the brief itenary for your trip and how to manage your trip.
We had this road trip a couple of times. Once we covered Mathura and Agra while the other time we covered Bhulan Darwaja with Agra. It’s upto you on which to cover.
Beginning of Delhi Agra Mathura Trip

Delhi to Mathura journey is around 2 hours depending on time and traffic. It is better if you start in evening. Now if you plan to start your trip in evening, then directly reach Agra as you can see the beautiful view of Tajmahal in the morning and then cover the entire trip. My suggestion go in the evening and reach Agra, take both views of Tajmahal- Night and Morning View.

Early in the morning, finish off Agra Tajmahal by 10AM, then Agra Fort by 11.30 to 12AM. By reaching in the evening, you can definitely enjoy a good dinner at Agra and then enjoy the beauty of Tajmahal. I suggest taking accommodation near to Tajmahal.
Best way to reach Tajmahal is through your cab. Your own cab from Delhi help you plan and enjoy your trip with your friends. And important thing…. Don’t forget to fully charge your camera. Because you don’t want to miss the styles in which Tajmahal pics can be taken. I have added few in TravelsTips Flick Photos of this trip.
Once you finish off in Agra, the next thing you should decide whether to go to Bhulan Darwaja or Mathura. You can cover Mathura temple and Brindhavan. If you are fast enough, you can cover both of them.
Now I made this simple enough for a trip. How can you enjoy a trip just roaming around without excitement. If you have two days time, it is the best way to enjoy. Go in the evening, spend full day in Agra (If you are going with your love, then it is a must.. Cover Mathura in the next day while coming back. Friday Night.. Saturday in Agra and Sunday Mathura. It is a perfect road trip. Isn’t it.. Well try, enjoy and don’t forget to give your views.
I found Agra fort very interesting. I hired a local guide to know more about the stories.
