This sanctuary is located about 120km from Hyderabad. Adjacent to the sanctuary is the pocharam reservoir on the Manjira river, about 70km downstream from the Manjira wild life Sanctuary.

Animals and birds found in Pocharam wildlife Sanctuary: Panther, Sloth Bear, Wild Boar, Sambar, Nilgai,  Ducks, Teals, Storks, Partridges ,Quails and varieties of species of birds like bulbul,  Indian gray hornbill, parakeet etc.,

Best time to visit: October to May.
