The Pranahitha Wild life Sanctuary is located at Chinnur, under the Mancherial forest division of Adilabad District, about 300-km north east of Hyderabad in the State of Andhra Pradesh in India.
Animals found here: One can find here the famed Indian crested porcupine as well as other animals like cheetah, nil gal, sloth bear, tiger, leopard, forest cat, languor, rhesus, palm civet, Indian otter, wild dogs, hyena and a variety of birds, including brahminy ducks, teats, storks and herons.
Forest department rest houses are available at mancherial and Chinnur.
