RAJIV GANDHI WILDLIFE SANCTUARY IN INDIA

The Rajiv Gandhi Wild life Sanctuary, formerly known as the Nagarjuna sagar-srisailam Tiger Reserve, spreads over five Andhra Pradesh districts: Nalgonda, Mahabubnagar, Kurnool, Prakasam and Guntur and is located about 130km from Hyderabad. This is one of the largest tiger reserves in India.

Animals found here:

Tigers, leopards, wild dog, wolf, fox,Indian giant squirrel, jackal, wolf, sambar, chital, chowsingha, nilgal, tree shrew, sloth bear and wild boar.

Accommodation facilities:

APTDC has built facilities for tourist at Nagarjuna sagar. Haritha Vijay Vihar Tourist Complex provides Accommodation. A launch unit offers cruise trips to Nagarjunakonda and back.

Best time to Visit RAJIV GANDHI WILDLIFE SANCTUARY:

The best period to visit is immediately after the monsoon.
