MALAMPUZHA IN PALAKKAD DISTRICT, KERALA
There are many legends associated with the origin name of Palakkad. According to legends the word Palakkad is derived from two words Pala means “barren land” and kadu means “Jungle” hence the combined meaning of theWord is “Pala trees”. By Train : Nearest railway station is Palakkad junction which is about 5kms away.
